Kennedy Smith '20 Recruiting Profile

My name is Kennedy Smith. I have lived overseas for the majority of my life; in Perth, Australia for 4 1/2 years and Bangkok, Thailand for 5 years. I was a gymnast until the end of 8th grade from when I was 2 years old, but I always wanted the team sport feeling with the bond between all of the players. When I started 9th grade I decided to go for the soccer team because I knew how to play from when I was younger, and I made the varsity team. It took me some time and many extra one-on-one practices with my coach and extra work over the weekends, but I got the hang of the game and ended up in the end of the season as a starter for the biggest tournament of the season, IASAS. I am determined, competitive, and passionate about the game and about being an athlete. I work as hard as possible and to the best of my ability, as well as leave everything on the field like it's the last game i'll play.
