Alexandra Sotiropoulos '12 Recruiting Profile

I am a 5'5" center midfielder living in Shanghai, China, and will graduate in  May 2012. After 5 years of select team experience, I have started on the varsity team for 4 years, was named MVP for 3 of those years, and served as team co-captain for the past 2 years. I would like to attend a school that has both a strong academic and women's soccer program, and am open to explore all divisions for the best fit. My great passion for the game and determination to win helped speed my full recovery following a serious injury prior to my sophomore soccer season. I learned a great deal about my own will and determination through this experience. While I love to score personally, I believe my value to the team is in my ability to distribute the ball to allow others to score, as well. I love being part of a team, and am a strong contributor to team spirit and camaraderie.
