Isabella Vaz '24 Recruiting Profile

I'm a 5' 6" attacking midfielder with a 4.7 GPA and ACT of 30. I am entering my senior year at Blue Valley High School and my goal is to play soccer at an academically rigorous college or university. I play varsity soccer on my Kansas 6A high school, club for Kansas City Surf's 05/06 NPL team, and I am an active member on the Kansas Olympic Development Program (ODP) roster. I pride myself in playing at a high intensity from start to finish, playing perfect through balls into attackers and scoring goals. I am first up to take a penalty kick, free kick, or corner when given the opportunity and I train all three skills on the regular. I am a team player who aspires to be a positive and supportive teammate.

Outside of soccer, I am an Eagle Scout and a Gold Award Girl Scout. I spent the summer lifeguarding and training daily at SoccerFit.  I love to volunteer, and do so regularly on Saturday mornings with Care Beyond the Boulevard, providing the homeless and uninsured population of downtown Kansas City with free medical care. I have also worked on two medical missions to the Dominican Republic and plan to return again in November of 2023. I am working to turn my passion into a career by studying Biology on the Pre-medicine track in college.
