There are several reasons I would be an excellent addition to any soccer team, but most importantly, I am a very well-rounded player. I am a team player, and even as a defensively-oriented player, I am able to impact the offensive play significantly. When I first started playing soccer at 4 years old in the “chin kickers” program, I wasn’t impressed. I think I spent more time on the side line pouting than actually playing. When I finally started playing City “rec” soccer on a real team with the same teammates week after week, around the age of 5, that is when my love of the game exploded. I love being part of a team, but especially a team of people who all love the game of soccer. I am known for being a fun loving, hardworking and energetic teammate, both on and off the field. Fostering good relations with the coaching staff and my teammates is as important to me as my play on the field. In addition to my personality, two of my best attributes on the field are my physical play and my foot. I am incredibly effective at using my size to shield and protect the ball to win the ball back from opponents. Additionally, on all of my teams, I am the go-to person to take the free kicks and corner kicks. With my powerful and accurate ability to clear the ball and switch the fields, I am able to generate many offensive opportunities.
