Emily Harper '22 Recruiting Profile

I am passionate about the game of soccer and have been playing since the age of three.  I am so excited to be closing in on my life long goal of playing college soccer.  I have played club soccer for DSA United in Warren, Maine for six years and my team has won the Maine State Premier League championship every year since U14.  My club team has also had success competing against quality competition at the GPS Memorial Day tournament in Massachusetts making finals 3 years and winning 2 of them.  I have been a starter on my high school varsity soccer team since my freshman year.  I led my team in scoring my freshman and sophomore years with 23 and 24 goals respectively.  I was named All Conference both years and was awarded All Conference Player of the Year as a freshman.  I was voted Southern Maine Class C All Star, Southern Maine State Team and Class C player of the year as a freshman and sophomore.   My career highlight is helping lead my high school team to our first ever state championship game my freshman year.

I have been a key member of my high school alpine ski team and raced in both the slalom and GS races of the Maine State meet which my team won both years.  I tore my ACL last February which left me out of my fall high school soccer season and the current alpine ski season.  Having gone through intensive rehabilitation following ACL reconstruction surgery I am more than ready to get back on the pitch and fulfill my dreams.

Academically, I have been an honor student since middle school and am a member of the National Honor Society with a GPA of 3.7.  I am taking all honors and AP classes.  

I feel well prepared to take on the challenge of life as a student athlete!
