My name is Tira Kohler, and I am a dedicated midfielder with a deep passion for soccer and a wealth of diverse experiences that I believe will contribute positively to your academic and athletic community.
I graduated at 15 and chose to start my college journey at a nearby community college, where I'll be playing soccer in 2024. My goal is to transfer to another college in 2025 to continue playing at a higher level.
Soccer has always been my primary focus. I earned a spot on the varsity team during my freshman year of high school and served as a starting midfielder in my sophomore year.
Despite initially gaining acceptance to an art school with a focus on theater, I prioritized soccer due to my unwavering dedication to the sport. Beyond soccer, I've demonstrated leadership through founding a theater group and have honed my physical agility and discipline through dance.
My linguistic abilities are another aspect of my diverse skill set. I have independently learned multiple languages, including Russian, Arabic, Korean, Japanese, Swedish, and Spanish. My proficiency in Hebrew, cultivated during my years in Israel, has enabled me to share this language skill by instructing Hebrew classes in a synagogue and providing private lessons to families. Through these teaching experiences, I've gained a profound appreciation for the significance of effective communication and cultural understanding, qualities I believe are invaluable both on and off the soccer field.
Recognized for my leadership potential, I participated in a distinguished leadership program in eighth grade, which included a visit to the White House.
I firmly believe my diverse background, strong work ethic, leadership abilities, and dedication to soccer make me an ideal candidate for a college soccer program.
