Personal Statement
I was selected by the Atlantic Soccer league (ASL) as an All Star player and was asked to play on a girls team that would travel to Sweden this summer to play in the Gothia Cup world soccer tournament. I am looking forward to representing the US and playing on this team. I also look forward to gaining valuable experience learning from international players.
After I finish high school at Manchester Valley , I dream of playing college soccer while pursuing a degree as an Occupational therapist or as a Physical Therapist. I have just started my 1st quarter of my junior year of high school taking a number of honors level classes and finished with a weighted GPA of 3.431 out of 4.0. I have been a starter on our high school team since I was a freshman and I also play soccer year round as a starter for a club/travel team and play in the ASL league tournaments. I am able to play as a defender, outside mid-fielder, as well as a forward and have been a starter in all of these positions during my club and high school playing experience. Having played these different positions allows me to be familiar with all positions and can adapt to any position to provide the best support possible for the team. I hope to become the captain of our high school team as I get older and enter into my junior or senior year. I have played soccer for over 12 years and love the sport. I am a team player and enjoy helping the team and the girls I play with to succeed.
My dream work position would involve being an occupational therapist working with the military, college or professional sports or as a Physical Therapist helping players with sports injuries. I enjoy traveling and have traveled already internationally to Australia for 2 weeks on a student trip where I swam in the Great Barrier Reef, surfed in the Sydney Harbor, learned to throw a boomerang with the Aborgininees, and horseback rode in the Australian outback. I am very adventurous and would like to continue my traveling adventures by visiting exciting places in the future.
