Stevie Mika '20 Recruiting Profile

My name is Stevie Mika, and I am a Goalkeeper.  I am 13 years old and in the 8th grade.  I am 5'4" and 123 lbs (with aspirations to be 5'9").  I have been playing competitive soccer for 5 years, specifically as a Goalkeeper.  I play club soccer with Bethesda Soccer Club (BSC) Elite Club National League (ECNL) U14 team Bethesda Express, which is currently ranked #3 in Maryland by GotSoccer.com.  I have US Soccer National Training credentials, and been competing in the top divisions in Mid-Atlantic region-- the Premier and Gold Divisions for the past 4 years.

I believe what will enable me to be an immediate impact player at the college level is my work ethic on and off the field.  I'm very goal focus; I understand through hard work and discipline you can achieve your goals.  I have maintained a 3.8 or higher GPA through out middle school.  I know that proper time management disciplines and planning result in getting my assignments done.  At practices I always push myself harder to become a better goalkeeper, teammate and team leader.  I believe that anything is possible when we collectively inspired each other -- whether they looked to me to tighten our defense, start the attack or to make that big, game-winning save, or me watching their desire turn into their best ever level of play.  Playing college soccer is a dream of mine, particularly at the highest level of competition.  Now that I'm beginning this process, I realize that I will be striving more than ever to push myself to be a better person, leader and to further develop my goalkeeping techniques to succeed as a soccer student-athlete in college and achieve my goal of owning my bakery called Keeper-Cakes.
