tyler martens '27 Recruiting Profile

HI! I'm Tyler Martens, graduating in 2027, and currently attending The Groton School in Groton, Mass. When attending college, I want to be challenged not only athletically but also academically. My performance in the classroom means just as much as my performance on the field. I am also interested in a college that provides a competitive but also friendly environment. One that constantly pushes me to be the best version of myself, but also reassures me of my abilities.  A college with easily accessible resources that allow me to be the best in fields that I strive to excel in, with a large campus in a safe but resourceful area. When I go to college, I want to be an impact player on my team, one that my teammates can rely on and trust when giving the ball too, I want to be proud of the way I performed because it reflected my competitive team training. I have extremely high aspirations for my soccer career, and I hope that my college experience would set me up to excel for wherever I decide to go next. As a teammate, I always put my teams and teammates success over mine, in order for everyone to accomplish their full potential. I am a coachable and hardworking player who is always looking to improve and be pushed. I want to be in a community where practices are harder than games because I am surrounded by talented and hardworking players who have similar aspirations as me for the present and future. A lot of my pride comes from the person I am as a friend, teammate, and student, which is why I want to be held accountable in regard to my successes and failures. I believe that my dedication and perseverance will carry me through struggles, whether it be personal or professional, which is why I am looking for a significant challenge when playing collegiate sports and attending college classes.
