Casey Cavanaugh '17 Recruiting Profile

Hi!

My name is Casey Cavanaugh and next year I am going to be a junior at Hingham High School in Massachusetts. I am interested in potentially playing soccer at the college level. This past year, I played on Hingham's varsity team, which won the Division II State Tournament. I also play on the Boston Breakers Academy club team. I play as a goalkeeper, but I can also play anywhere in the field.

This past year in school, I finished with my grades averaging at mostly A's with one B. I am in all advanced classes with the exception of science, and next year I will be taking AP U.S. History. My current GPA is a 3.62.

I am also involved in many clubs and activities, including Student Council, Best Buddies, piano and singing, and the school orchestra. Best Buddies is my favorite school club, and I even got to tie it in with soccer when I initiated a Best Buddies soccer game during halftime of the girls' soccer game at Homecoming. It was a huge success, and it is now a tradition! Next year I will be the club's treasurer.

As for college, I'm looking for a school where I can learn a lot, make great friends, and feel comfortable in a welcoming environment. I'm thinking about studying Criminal Justice, as in the future I hope to become a victim specialist for the FBI.
