I started playing soccer at a very young age and it was entertaining. I enjoyed learning about the game and playing with my friends. As I grew older I have become more competitive and I work well with my teammates on and off the field.
I played for the same club as my older sister and would be called up to play with them very often. This has helped me play to a higher standard and push myself by playing a high paced and higher quality game.
I am able to adapt to criticism and comments that you have if I need to improve in a certain area. I can always improve in certain areas and I won’t get discouraged when I am not able to perform a skill.
I was the only freshman to make the varsity team last year, I played approximately half of each game and had 5 assists. This year as a sophomore I start the game at left outside defense and made 2 goals. This year and last our team won the South Coast Conference.
I have been a senator in my student council for two years because I love being involved with my community; and I enjoy planning various events at my school. I also compete on my high school's mock court team and am a part of AFS (American Field Service).
I usually play basketball during the winter, but the basketball schedule was not compatible with my club soccer schedule, so I thought I would try indoor track. As a freshman, I am competing in varsity heats for the 55, 300 (PR 45.77) and the 4x400. My relay team recently took first place at the Aurback FR-SO Meet for Small Schools (Massachusetts) on 1/7/18 at the Reggie Lewis Track and Athletic Center. Our winning time was 4:33:40 (https://www.athletic.net/TrackAndField/meet/322510/results/f/1/4x400m). I also competed at the Div. 4 track meet where I achieved my PR in the 300 and my 4x400 team came in 4th place with a time of 4.14.90; my split time was 63.
During Spring Track, I was eighth in the South Coast Conference in the 100 (14:03) and received second-place running the 4x100 (53.77) and won 4x400 (4:15.06). Both relays qualified for All-States where our 4x100 ran a school-record 51.08 and our 4x400 clocked a record 4:02.75 to advance to New Englands, where the Bulldogs came in 11th (4:05.46). My best 100 time was a 13.6.
