Cadence L'Heureux '25 Recruiting Profile

Hello, my name is Cadence L'Heureux. I have been playing soccer since I was six years old. Currently I play for the 2006 Aztec Soccer Club in Impact NPL league as a 2007. In games, I am a starter at holding midfield, and occasionally play attacking midfield. My strengths on the field include endurance and speed, along with passing accuracy and soccer IQ. I participate in track at my high school, and have run the 1500m at the USATF National Junior Olympics Championships at the age of 10 in Kansas. My endurance has allowed me to play most games for the entire 90 minutes. The combination of my passing accuracy and soccer IQ has been an advantage in the center midfield positions allowing me to feed the ball to my teammates effectively. In addition to these physical attributes I possess mental toughness, coachability, and a competitive mindset. When tired in a match I am able to push past the exhaustion knowing it is all mental. While training I can take feedback well and apply it to my play. I have a competitive mindset as I have been up against my step sister since I started playing the game of soccer. We have made each other better and pushed one another as we have been on all the same teams. 

Although soccer is highly important to me, academics are a priority as well. My unweighted GPA is a 4.1 out of 4, and my weighted GPA is a 4.68 as I take AP Biology. I have attended numerous academic summer camps including NASA Space Camp in Alabama, NYFL STEM Envision Camp at Babson College, and I have been recently accepted to attend a summer course in biomedical engineering at Tulane University. After graduating college I hope to work in the field of STEM, and later become an astronaut. I have a strong work ethic which I demonstrate on both the field and in the classroom.

I am seeking a challenge both athletically and academically. I am excited to pursue the opportunity to play soccer in college.
