Personal Statement

Hi my name is Jordyn Grazulis and I am an Offensive center midfielder and striker from Oxford, Massachusetts and I have been a high school starter since my freshman year at Oxford High school. I am currently a sophomore and I have scored 20 goals and had 11 assists. I got voted as a Central Mass All Star my sophomore year. I fell in love with the game of soccer at the age of four and wanted to play competitively sense then. I started playing at Spirit of Liverpool when I was seven years old and played up with their 2007 team (I am a 2008) at the age of 10 years old. Now I play for FC Stars since February 2023 and I love my team so much. I have attended clinic over the summer of 2024 with the coach from MIT. I have done private training with College players since the age of 12. Growing up I had hero's such as Mia Ham, Alex Morgan, Megan Rapinoe, and Kelly O'Hara. These players poured their heart, soul, blood, sweat and tears into the game and they inspired me to do the same. When I step onto the field I think of three things, play for my team, be positive, and play for the younger girls in the Oxford Youth soccer who look up to me. At the age of 13 I went to the Hershey Cup tournament with a club in Rhode island called Mach 1 and we went to finals and I scored the only goal for my team making it 2-1 bringing home second place. While I was at Mach 1 I played for two teams the 2008's but I primarily played for the Mach 1 U19 girls which is the team that I went to Hershey Park Tournament with. Hershey Park Tournament in 2022 was played at University of Pennsylvania ( If remember that correctly) and being a 7th grader playing with seniors gave me a huge boost of confidence for my career. During my freshman year of high school I scored 10 of the 16 goals that were scored that season and having 2 assists. My sophomore season was a season to remember, it was my best one yet and I am so early into my high school career. Soccer has been a huge blessing in my life and I am lucky that I have friends, family and coaches who have supported me a long the way. I always like to show up to a game with positive attitude and get my teammates hype for game day. When I walk through the hallways and see my teammates I always yell "Game day" or "get hype for game day." I like it be as positive and supportive of my teammates on and off the field because I like it set an example for underclassman or just any I play with in general. There are always going to be frustrating times on the field but I got a zen place in my mind and calm myself down. Soccer will always be my first love and I will always comeback to it and playing in college to further my academic and athletic career is my goal and an ambition of mine and I would genuinely be a great addition to any college team because of my positive mindset, playing not just for me but for my teammates and younger girls and boys who are watching. I put everything into the game and do not hesitate. I love soccer and I hope to continue on throughout soccer and would do anything to make that happen.
