Personal Statement

   - My goal for college is to get a degree in Physical Therapy.  Also, nothing in the world makes me happier than playing soccer, and I am willing to play for any Division. I love the challenge of working hard and getting better at soccer.  What makes me different from other recruits is  I'm a very coachable player and learned something new from every coach I've ever had.  I'm also a playmaker,  and assists are what I am really good at to help the team score.  I was the also the top scorer on my club team for the 20/21 season.

 - The people in my life that have really influenced me are my parents and coaches that I have played for. There are many coaches I have played for, but I have a few that taught me a lot and helped me become a better player. Those coaches ranging from club coaches to DSP coaches in the summer. My parents are my #1 fans and have also helped me become a better player.

- One of my career/ aspirations is Physical Therapy.  I started getting interested in this field with my soccer injuries and was so intrigued at how they helped me heal. I am still looking for more things to do in life, but Physical Therapy is one of the things I want to do.

- One of the obstacles that I have overcome is my broken ankle when I was 10. Before I broke my ankle I was a right-footed player ever since I started soccer. But then I started to practice with my left foot during my practices for fun while my broken ankle was healing in a boot.  Little did I know I was going to be a left-footed player and right-footed from that point on.

Coach's Comments On the defensive side of he ball, Reese gets herself in good position and always shows a willingness to step in and make the challenge. Even when an opponent wins that individual challenge, she recovers and gets back in to challenge again. Always at the ready. Offensively, I think she is just scratching the surface of her future ability. Consistently found great spaces on the field and recognized when gaps were exploitable to the dribble or to the pass. It was a trait that slowly emerged during the day and blossomed by day's end. I would hazrd to guess she had the most scoring opportunities of anyone in our final game because of how she set herself up in position to find seems in the defense and exploit them to goal. Having said that, most of this occurred as a wide player, I would like to see her inside more as well, but it comes down to reading the game and decision-making, so I feel she'd adapt to that area as well. Really enjoyed watching Reese work I talked of how much I loved her ability to find good spaces on the field. In the final game, it was rewarded with passes to her by the goal, yet no goals were scored. She never caught a solid shot, so lots of passes played in, with a dynamic touch and a strong finish. When that gets stronger, than lets work on first time hits of passes to you. You find such good space, time to earn the reward of that work There were times were you set that outside edge so quickly, but you had to wait because your teammates didn't see or hear you and often got too focused on the challenge they were face. This also occurred in some transition plays moving up the field. Putting these first two aspects together will help your team's overall attack pays massive dividends In the early games, you won the ball and found ways out of trouble, but I'd like to see you push yourself to find the range and areas when you can play longer diagonal balls to targets. Now with all the space you found on the field later in the day, shooting often was the best option on a shorter field. If we were full field, i would think you are receiving the ball a little further away from net, so developing a quick snap service behind the back line but in the area too far for a keeper would be a tremendous asset for your game and make you an even more dynamic player to be accounted for in games. I really enjoyed watching you play, Reese Share Your Performance Report (Public Link)
