Adjectives such as coachable, hardworking, driven, and team player are words that I have seen people use to describe themselves. However, there is so much more to me than those adjectives when it comes to soccer. When I was younger, I idolized Hope Solo. I feel that athletically, she is one of the best female goalies in history. I was in awe at her courage and grit that she possessed every time she played in the net. I was inspired by her athleticism however, not by her attitude. I have been playing soccer since I was 5, and I have wanted to be a goalie ever since I was old enough to play in competitive games. I officially took that position when I was 9 years old. When everyone else was afraid to stand in the net, I was excited to take on that role. Over the years I have developed my skills and changed that excited little girl to a strong powerful player who is fearless in the net and willing to take on any challenge.
Soccer is my passion, my life, and my driving fore. However, I know that life needs to be balanced. Which is why I put an equal amount of effort into my academic performance. Currently I attend Notre Dame Academy and I am enrolled in honors and ap classes. My dream is to study science and go to medical school. When I am not training, I am studying and trying to become the best student I can be. I am just as competitive in the classroom as I am on the field, I want to succeed. I play on the varsity soccer team for my school, playing at this level has inspired me to want to play at a higher level as a college athlete. I know my role as a keeper is important, I am able to see the field like no other player on the team and use this advantage to be a leader. I hope when reading this you will be able to get a sense of my determination to succeed in both school and soccer and find me as a good fit for your team/school.
