Hello, my name is Jayla Perkins I’ve played soccer all my life its my passion and the sport I fell in love with fourteen years ago. I would love to be apart of the soccer program, not just because it is my favorite sport, but because I am so passionate to continue my love for the game at the collegiate level. I will stop at nothing to be able to fulfill my lifelong dream which has always been to play soccer in college and then move my way up from there where ever my skills decide to take me. I pour my heart, energy and passion into every single game I play whether my team thinks it’s going to be an “easy win” or if it’s a game where we have to work our tails off. By the end of every game I’m dripping with sweat but, almost always I feel content because I know that if the game I just finished was my last I put my whole being on that field. I have a few accomplishments for that hard work too which consist of being one of three captains at Stevenson High School. I also just received the news of being one of two captains on my Nationals Capital Area travel team. During my junior year of high school I was one of two people who got the All-Conference reward and I was also the only person on my team who got the All-District reward. I’ve received “honorable mentions” for my districts dream team in Lansing, even tied for second place in goals scored on my team as well. All in all, soccer is the sport I decided to dedicate myself to through all the heartwrenching losses and body aching wins I still choose soccer as my sport because I know in the end it’s the sport I want to pursue and love. . Thank you for taking the time to read my story.
Best regards,
Jayla Perkins
