From a young age, I have loved sports – the competition, my teammates, and lessons learned that can’t be taught in the classroom. My first sport was swim. I was able to set club records and achieve 6 state cut times and make it to the state finals in 3 of those events. I also ran cross country in middle school and set a 2-mile school record. However, around the age of 12, I decided to solely focus on soccer as that was truly my passion and the sport I began forming long-term goals around. This still includes playing at a college with strong academics.
In the Spring of 2022, I made the tough decision to switch clubs and therefore leagues so that I can experience the ECNL competition/platform and high school soccer with my classmates. Leaving teammates and coaches at Nationals (Girls Academy) was difficult and change can be challenging, but Liverpool FC, the coaches, and my teammates have been everything I hoped they would be. I have made new friends and I am continuing to grow and learn new things as a player and about myself. Most importantly, I learned a valuable life lesson that I can make difficult choices and face change with hope rather than fear.
The qualities that I take the most pride in with regards to soccer are my heart and love for the game, my coachability, my love for my teammates, my defensive tenacity, my speed, my desire to help my team create offensive opportunities by playing long balls or making runs to put the ball in the box, my ability to use both feet, my high work rate on and off the soccer field, and my versatility. Although I primarily play both right and left outside back, I can also play wing back, outside mid, and outside forward when needed.
In the classroom, I strive to make the best grades I can by staying organized, disciplined, and focused. I currently have a 4.06 GPA/4.0 At Notre Dame Preparatory School. I was elected by my peers to serve my Freshman and Sophomore class as a member of Student Council. I also made the All Scholastic Catholic Team as a top academic student in my class. I am a member of National Honor Society as well. I hope to study Medicine or Criminology in college.
My favorite memory of soccer to date was playing in the U-13 National Championship game in Florida where we went into double overtime, ultimately losing in a PK shootout. That game and the road to get there taught me and my Nationals teammates many life lessons that I try to remind myself of to this day - never ever give up/fight until the end, and when an expected outcome doesn't become a reality, pick yourself back up and work harder.
When I’m not in school, playing soccer with my team, or participating in school activities, I love to attend technical training with Next Level Training (NLT). I have so much fun there and I get to continue training with some of my prior teammates. I also work on my strength at 2SP Sports Performance. When time allows, I work at Mr. C’s Car Wash, a family-owned business. And of course, I enjoy hanging out with my family, friends, and my dog Sully.
Thank you for taking the time to learn about me! I hope to hear from you.
