Emily Solek '17 Recruiting Profile

I have been playing soccer since I was 4 years old. I realized very early on that I wanted to compete at the collegiate level. I understand that playing a college sport takes hard work and dedication. 

I am a strong player with speed and a great shot. I can play anywhere on the field. I am a team leader on and off the field. I am a very hard worker and I am constantly told how coachable I am. I set myself apart from other recruits by always giving 110% and my passion for the game.

I play two varsity sports and maintain a high GPA. I have coached many local youth soccer camps as well as being a micro coach for children ages 5-6 years. I also participate in many clubs at my school (National honors society, key club, Spanish national honors society). 

An ideal college for myself is one where I can push myself both educationally and athletically. I need the college I go to to make sense in both aspects as well. I hope to find a school to match the highest level of competition I am able to work at. Overall, I'd love to find a place where I am happy and a school where my parents are happy I am at as well.
