Hi, my name is Vivian Olson. I play varsity soccer for Rockford High School (Rockford MI). Rockford is one of the largest D1 high schools in Michigan and we play against many top tier teams. As a sophomore I was a varsity starter playing 60 to 80 minutes per game as an outside back which was a new position for me. We had 13 shut outs that season. I was awarded most improved due to my work ethic and starting at a new position. As a junior I was moved to the attacking wing/midfield to take advantage of my speed to create opportunities for our team. I scored three goals and provided several assists as Rockford won our D1 District championship this season. When I’m not playing at Rockford, I play club soccer at Midwest United FC. At Midwest this past year I was a starting winger on a Michigan State Premier League team. As a player I can provide your team with ball control, scoring, speed, and endurance at the wing both offensively and defensively. I’m always ready to give it 110%. I love the preparation, training, and the working out of being a soccer player.
When I’m not playing soccer I’m a member of the Rockford jazz band and concert band. I’m also a part of my school’s video production program. I am a three year varsity letter winner and 2023 All Conference recipient for the Rockford High School ski racing team. I love staying active and being part of a team or group. I also take my education seriously, and I strive to push myself. I have taken many honors and AP classes, and I’ve maintained straight A’s. I’ve also received an academic excellence letter the past three years.
I’m interested in pursuing sports medicine or physical therapy in college. I plan on considering colleges that will challenge me academically and help me in my soccer passion. I want to play soccer at the collegiate level to become a better player and contribute to a team.
Thank you for taking the time to get to know me a little more!
Sincerely, Vivian Olson
