Skylar Bruske '27 Recruiting Profile

I am a 2027 Graduate at Nouvel Catholic Central High School. Center defense is my main position, but I play anywhere on defense and I am starting to play more in the midfield now too. This is my first year playing soccer for high school and I play on varsity. I have been playing travel for about 5 years now for DCFC. I have always absolutely loved soccer. The teamwork, aggression, speed, and much more has made me love the sport since I started playing at about 5 years old. The past year has been difficult as I have been through 2 very hard injuries, a back fracture and a pelvic avulsion fracture. I have worked very hard to get to where I am now and getting through these injuries and my desire to play at the collegiate level has grown even stronger.

Through these years my love for soccer has grown so much. I strive to get better and work harder day by day. I communicate a lot on the field and try to help people out and be a leader. I am a quick learner and try to fix my mistakes as quickly as possible and make up for it. I just recently had played in Florida for the first USL Academy U15 women's soccer team for DCFC. My goals for my current and future years of playing soccer is to get more confident in myself and to improve physically on my speed, footwork, and strength. I'm very dedicated to my sports and I always try to be uplifting, helpful, and respectful to coaches and teammates. I am willing to learn and get better all the time. I always push myself to do my best at games and practices no matter what.
