Hello, my name is Keara Fritsche and I am a junior at Spring Lake High School. I have been playing soccer for approximately 13 years. Soccer has been my passion since the first time I stepped foot on the field. I have been playing at the Premier competitive level ever since I was 12 years old. For my travel team, I play for Mid-West United FC on their Premier I division team as a starting offensive midfielder. As for my High school team, my freshman year I was pulled up to varsity after 3 games into my JV season. Soon after my invitation to the Varsity team I became a starting player. Ever since my freshman year on varsity I have been a starter as a midfielder all throughout my high school career.
My main focus on the field is to communicate with my teammates and help in every way I can to lead my team to victory. I have many major strengths that I demonstrate throughout each game. My biggest and most valuable strength when playing soccer is my ability to distribute the ball, see the whole field clearly, and to hustle with and without the ball. Adding onto those few examples I have many other useful qualities. My coaches tell me that I can see the field with great vision which is why I have developed impressive passing skills. Becky May, the coach of my high school team has stated that I am a spark on the field. My current club coach, Tim Davis, has also indicated that I am very good at controlling the pace of the game and being able to give excellent balls to the forwards.
As serious as I am about soccer, I am serious about school as well. I’m constantly giving my everything one hundred percent to do my very best. I am a member of the National Honor Society which requires a 3.5 GPA or higher. It is also very important to me that I am involved in many extra curricular groups and clubs such as Interact (community service), Task Force (fundraising), and Calling all colors (diversity club). I am devoted to giving my all into schoolwork to obtain good grades, Participating in school activities/clubs, and overall being a kind person to classmates.
