Grace Kotewa '26 Recruiting Profile

Hi coaches! I am 17 years old and will be graduating Fairmont High School in the spring of 2026. I have been playing and loving soccer for 10 years now. I am a very driven, hard working, honest, and trustworthy person.  I’m a a good teammate, and always strive to bring a positive attitude for myself and my team. I am the captain of my high school varsity soccer team so it is important to me to be a good leader on and off the field. 

I feel I am a versatile player who can play several positions well. Currently, I play Center Attacking Midfielder, Center Defensive Midfielder, and I specialize in set pieces like corners and free kicks. I also have a lot of experience in center and outside back from my younger years of playing. In addition, I have a wonderful private coach (D1 alumna), whom has truly made me a more dynamic and educated player.

Coming from a small town in the Midwest I find that it is somewhat hard to get recognized by college coaches. I am always trying to find different ID camps or trainings to participate in. This year I tried something new and participated in the Minnesota ODP pool play in Blaine, MN. I was 1 of the 16 girls chosen for the 08/07 State team and traveled to Indiana for the sub regional tournament. We did quite well with a win against Missouri and Wisconsin, and a tie against Indiana.
