Starting varsity as a freshman has made a giant impact on my soccer career and life outlook. Beginning my varsity career as one of the youngest players on the team brought challenges, but ultimately helped me to become a better player and person. As I learned very quickly, the speed of play at the varsity level was very different than any club team I had played on. This sudden change of pace encouraged me to respect and admire the more experienced players, and taught me how to be a better leader and challenge myself. I pushed myself harder than ever before, and acclimated myself to a new style of play. My first varsity season presented many challenges, but in turn I proved to myself that with hard work and determination, I can accomplish anything I set my mind to. I am proud to say that I have achieved some of my goals, having been captain of my club team and being voted captain for my senior year varsity season.
Being a two and three sport athlete throughout high school has pushed me to master time management skills. My drive to excel at both school and sports, along with my desire to be involved in various clubs and organizations, has made me a better person with set and logical priorities. I'm looking to find a program that is a good fit for me academically as well as athletically. I believe that I possess enough talent, work ethic, and leadership skills to be a successful college athlete
