Personal Statement

Hard work has always been something i’ve loved. I can’t say I have always know what sport I would end up playing, but I can say no matter the sport I show up and outwork whoever is on the field or court with me. I have always had a desire to be the best at something or accomplish more than the kid next to me, but now I realize that even if you aren’t the best you have the opportunity to outwork and out-train anyone if you commit. I have always played sports I have participated in volleyball, football, swim, track, cross country, weightlifting, and most recently soccer. If I can say one thing I have definitely tried everything, and I always thought I would end up playing volleyball in college. That all changed though when I decided to play soccer for the first time. Getting to go out on the field for the first time definitely was scary because it was something new, but once I got the rhythm of the game and realized it could be my future I’ve known it’s what i’m meant to do. I can’t say i’m the best but I learn and outwork anyone on the field given the right opportunity! I have had many life changing experiences but one of the best ones was winning my first race. I used to be the slow kid when it came to running I was known as the “strong kid.” I made a change though and started to run just a mile every day and then eventually up to 10 miles on my long run days, and even won a few 5ks and 8ks, and most recently placed fourth in a half marathon! Even though i wasn’t always a runner I proved to everyone that I could work hard and achieve my goals. The same work ethic is applied to soccer as well. I started soccer just last year and I worked as hard as i could with a smaller club team and came out and made varsity. Once again doing what was going to be hard through my dedication and hard work!

NCSA COLLEGE RECRUITING®

NCSA College Recruiting® (NCSA) is the nation’s leading collegiate recruiting source for more than 500,000 student-athletes and 42,000 college coaches. By taking advantage of this extensive network, more than 92 percent of NCSA verified athletes play at the college level. The network is available to high school student-athletes around the country through valued relationships with the NFLPA, FBU, NFCA and SPIRE. Each year, NCSA educates over 4 million athletes and their parents about the recruiting process through resources on its website, presentations of the critically-acclaimed seminar College Recruiting Simplified, and with Athletes Wanted, the book written by NCSA founder Chris Krause.
