My aspirations to play college soccer started several years ago as a grade schooler attending a college summer soccer camp. Participating in camp activities with the college soccer players and watching how much they enjoyed the game and the friendships they showed has kept my desire to play in college strong since that summer.
As a multi-sport student athlete I have combined the strengths of individual sports (tennis and swimming) and team sports (soccer and basketball) to help prepare me to compete not only at both the highest levels of high school and club soccer but also in college. My dedication and perseverance to compete were proven when I failed to make our club’s Academy team the first year offered but by mid-season had earned a part-time roster slot and by year’s end was a full-time team member. As a player who leads by example and is very coachable, I was recognized as a team co-captain for our Academy/National League team this past year.
My skill sets of unselfish heads up play, possession with purpose, strong technical skills and ability to read the field either on offense or defense provide a solid foundation that I can bring to the next level. Academically, my core emphasis in math and science plus my high school leadership activities have helped my athletic success in bringing a problem solving approach to my game.
