Maddie Wilcynski '26 Recruiting Profile

Hi, My name is Maddie Wilcynski, I am currently a Junior at Lone Peak High School from Big Sky, MT. My goal is to play soccer in college, ideally for a Division 1 program but happy to consider all collegiate opportunities. I have played for Big Sky Futbol Club since its inception but made a switch for the 2023 spring season to play for Gallatin Elite Soccer Club in Bozeman, MT. I challenge myself through the Montana Olympic Development Program-2007 girls team where I can play and practice year round and compete in regional tournaments. Currently, I am playing for the most competitive teams possible which helps me strive toward being the best player I can be.  Coachable, team player, willing to adapt and learn defines who I am.  As a strong and aggressive player that has played every position on the field, I mostly find myself as a defensive midfielder or attacking mid. When playing, I feel I have the ability to see and read the field well and am continuing to improve every time I step on the pitch.  

I work hard on the field and off, and love soccer because of the fitness, competition, teammates, and passion. Looking forward, I hope to play for a school that will push me both academically and with my athletics, specifically soccer.  Additionally, I look forward to being an asset to a competitive team. I cross-training through varsity basketball, golf, nordic and downhill skiing as well as other outdoor activities.
