My name is Rylee Barnes and I will be a 2022 graduate of Flathead High School in Kalispell, Montana. I am currently a member of the Flathead High School, Flathead Valley United, Montana Development Program 2001, Rocky Mountain FC Soccer Teams and multiple local indoor teams. This was my second year as a starter and letter earner on my high school team. I have worked hard and played soccer year round as long as I can remember.
One of my biggest assets as a players is foot skills and strength. Flathead High School offers an Strength and Conditioning Class for all athletes. As an athlete I have worked very hard in not only this class, but the after school Speed and Plyometric program. During the summer off-season, I have been training with our football team four days a week at 6 a.m. workouts. As a sophomore I was the 7th overall strongest female at Flathead High School. This is a female population of over 7th. In 2018-2019 as a Freshman, I was one of the few freshman to letter in track and field. As a sprinter and member of the relay teams I feel this helps improve my soccer skills.
Another huge asset is my ability to excel both in the classroom and athletics. I’m currently #1 in my class with a 4.0 GPA while taking several Honors classes. Outside of Soccer and Track I am a manager for our Flathead Wrestling team, former member of student council, Ignite Peer Mentor, Hugh O’Brien Youth Leadership Nominee and was nominated by my teachers to attend RYLA Leadership Camp.
In college I plan to pursue a degree in Elementary Education. My Mom is a high school teacher and I would like to follow in her educational footsteps.
Thank you for your time and I look forward to hearing back for you at your convenience,
Rylee Barnes
