Bryce Bateman '23 Recruiting Profile

Hello coaches, my name is Bryce Bateman and I currently play the forward/wing position for both my Heat ECNL RL '05 Soccer Club team as well as my varsity high school team. My love for the game of soccer began at the young age of 4 and ever since then, my passion and drive for this great sport has only grown tremendously. Everyday, I not only strive to improve as a player through my technique and physical skills, but to strengthen myself mentally as both an athlete and a leader. Whether it's my education, an athletic team I'm involved in, or another club or organization I participate within, my goal is to work the hardest I can to display my best efforts. I demonstrate my diligence on a daily basis by maintaining my current 4.95 GPA and my participation in several varsity sports. I am very skilled academically which highly benefits my game play as I use this skill to read the field, plan ahead, and strategize my next moves. 

Through this tactical play, I highlight my strengths by improving my crossing, shooting, and attacking skills. I also consider my speed to be one of my most prominent strengths, continuously training and pushing to get faster everyday, always with the goal of being able to beat even the fastest of defenders. I not only display technical skills on the field, but do my best to create bonds with and motivate my teammates to always give it their all, no matter the score. I have always had the philosophy that no matter how good a single player is, it takes a team to win. I prioritize the well-being of my teammates and am constantly a loud voice on the field leading my team. I dedicate every moment spent training, whether it be a small practice or a championship game, to putting in my fullest effort and persistently put my heart and soul out on the field. It is important for me to find and attend a school that not only challenges me athletically, but my academics as well. 

I plan on attending college and majoring in Architecture, following my mathematical and creative spirit which I not only use artistically, but through my play on the field, always testing new 1v1 moves to utilize on defenders. I strive earn my master's in my field and maintain my 4.0 GPA throughout college. Once I graduate, I want follow my childhood dreams and pursue a career working at the Disney Parks. I have and always have had big goals in my life, playing at a collegiate level being one. If I'm able to eventually accomplish my goal and participate in that incredible opportunity, I would never waver on my constant goal of putting forth my best effort to self-improve and be the best player and person I possibly can.
