Personal Statement

My main goal as a future college student-athlete is to create an immediate impact on the team and win the NCAA Division I Women's Soccer Championship. I aspire to play at a professional level after college and work my way towards the US National team. I am a firm believer of hard work and commitment, which is why I make sure my attributes in the game reflect outside of the pitch as well.

Lourdes is one of the most skillful players of her age group in the region. Due to her ability to score and create goals, she is capable of playing in several attacking positions, either up top as a striker or in a central position. Although she usually plays as a classic number 10 in the attacking midfield role, her motor never stops which allows her to move freely. Despite primarily being a creative player, she is an accurate finisher with either foot, both from inside and outside the penalty area, and is also a free-kick and penalty kick specialist. Lourdes' technical skills, creativity and extremely high IQ are something you just do not find in a young player at her age. Her pace, acceleration, agility, balance, ball control, and dribbling ability, is such an asset in her game. She is capable of beating players when taking individual runs, often using feints in 1v1 situations. Among her repertoire of moves, Lourdes is one of the most passionate and dedicated players I have ever coached. Lourdes is skillful by nature... she is wonderful with the ball at her feet, and of the coolest players in pressure situations. She is quick, fast, and has a tremendous feel for the game.
