Personal Statement
Growing up, I was surrounded by soccer. Having both my mother and father play for Franklin Pierce University and my mother being an All-American, I was born to be on the pitch. Constantly challenged by my older brother on the field and by my sister in the classroom, I strive to be the very best version of myself I can be.
When I was young, seeing my father coach my high school's boys varsity team and having watched my brother win state titles only made me more and more eager to do it myself. In 2017, my team and I won our first state championship since 2008. Being a captain as a Junior and doing my best to help lead the team to success that season was a challenge I took very seriously. I was awarded All- New England that season along with MVP of the championship game and runner up for All-American. Knowing I still have one last season, I will push myself and teammates to become a better player for there will always be space to grow.
Academically, I have always pushed to be better. Since I was young I have loved the sciences and now that I am older and am able to focus on more specific fields, I love them even more. Biology and Nursing have always been my top two choices for college majors although I know they can be some of the toughest.
There is nothing I want more than to be challenged while in college, my motivation on the field carries on into the classroom as I always will strive to do better.
