For the majority of my life my identity centered academics. I have done well at school and continuously excelled at it. I focused my future plans under the impression that academia was my only passion and talent. It was only within the last few years that I discovered soccer. With its new challenges I also found a hidden passion for the game.
Passion is a driving force. Often it is stronger than willpower and determination. I can attest to its strength. Within two years have pushed myself farther than most would in three times the time I have had spent playing soccer.
No one forces me to play or to wake up. I push myself. I drive myself to improvement because I love the game.
I am diligent, determined, and optimistic. I plan to attend college and I have set my bar high. I can compete academically and I will work tirelessly to be an athletic contender. I have worked for everything I have gained and I am not afraid to keep working for the things I will acquire.
