My name is Ava Lowe, and I have been playing soccer for as long as I can remember. Ever since I was little I have always wanted to play collegiate soccer. It is a goal that I am constantly striving for and hope to achieve one day. I know this is a once in a lifetime opportunity and I am prepared to take full responsibility and advantage of it. I believe my work ethic and determination will help prepare me for the best college experience.
I am a center back and I have been for 5 years. Prior to being a center back, I have always played in a defensive position. My ability to communicate and be physical has helped me in many ways. My physicality has allowed me to develop confidence in myself that gives me an advantage on the field. I believe my strong work ethic and ability to communicate have helped me to become a strong leader and role model on and off the field. I love to seek continued feedback from many different coaches in order to grow and become a stronger athlete. This skill has led me to become a highly coachable player.
I attend V. Sue Cleveland High School which is the top high school in Rio Rancho Public Schools. I have been at Cleveland since freshman year and I have always had a 4.0 or higher GPA. I take higher-level classes to challenge myself and continue to grow academically. I currently volunteer with my club as a coach/mentor for the younger 07 Thorns team and I am an active participant in my school district by volunteering with students with disabilities over the summer.
I am looking to go to a college that is best suited to me. Ideally, I would really enjoy a team that is hard working on and off the field and has a strong team bond. To find my dream school I am willing to look all over the United States. I know that collegiate soccer is extremely competitive and I and prepared to meet this challenge to make my dreams and goals come true.
