My goal as a student-athlete is to play at a level where I can grow and be challenged in the classroom and on the field. I am team-focused and a fierce competitor. I put my team first and demand a high level of commitment for myself and from my teammates. I am extremely focused on my academics and always strive to do my best work.
I would say one of the greatest attributes that I have is that I am highly coachable. No matter the sport, I clearly understand my role on the team, take on leadership responsibilities, and listen to what my coaches want from me. No questions asked.
I love being a part of a team. I love developing team chemistry, the grind, the friendships, and competing together. I am one of the captains of the three varsity teams I play on. Whether it is soccer, lacrosse, or basketball, I lead by example. I put 100 percent effort into every game and practice. I always do what is best for our team to be successful. I am also a vocal leader by directing my teammates when needed and by being positive and forward thinking.
One of my major strengths is my field vision. I read the game really well and anticipate what is next. I play the midfield position in soccer and lacrosse and point guard on the basketball team. All of these positions require great field and court vision.
I am super competitive! I do not like to lose. If we do, then I figure out what I can do as a player and what we can do as a team to correct it for the next game. I am always looking to improve my game so that I can be the best I can possibly be for my team.
Two quotes I like…
“The vision of a champion is bent over, drenched in sweat, at the point of exhaustion, when nobody else is looking.” – Mia Hamm
“Talent without working hard is nothing.” – Cristiano Ronaldo
