Everyone has one thing that keeps them in his or her happy state. For me there is only one thing that comes to mind instantly, Soccer. I have been playing soccer since I was five years old always competing with myself to be the best. Starting at such a young age has helped me understand the commitment and determination that is needed to play at a high level sport. The passion I have for soccer cannot be described through these words; it is shown on the soccer field. Hustling for every 50/50 ball, making the passes as crisp as possible and most important never putting my head down when I come upon a mistake. When I got older more opportunities came flying my way. I was honored to be on the varsity high school soccer team as an 8th grader as well as making the ODP regional team three times. As I continued to grow on and off the field I picked up mixed martial arts, which I earned my second-degree black belt. These classes were three days a week for six years. I had to find the time to not only to be with my family, but my studies and the sport I can’t live without. Throughout my first 16 years of living I have managed to juggle everything that I put in my path, but also the obstacles that I encountered. However through all of these years, if there is one thing that I learned it is you fight for your dreams or you will regret it later.
