My name is Madison Albanese. Soccer has shaped who I am, and it has had a big impact on my life. The skills that I have learned, and will continue to learn, will benefit me in college and beyond. These include leadership, communication, work ethic, and teamwork. I first became interested in playing soccer when I was five years old. I then began playing travel soccer when I was ten years old. When my travel team came to an end, I decided to look for another team to join. Since I wanted to keep building my skills, I was motivated to join a team at a challenging level. This brought me to my current club team, Nirvana FC. I love developing my skills at practice, and on my own. I work to be the best I can be, whether it's at practice or on the field. I also always try to have good sportsmanship, and to be a humble winner. Since I believe that the game is won when no one is watching, I always push myself on and off the field.
Academics have always been important to me, and are another big part of who I am today. Similar to on the field, I continue to develop these skills of leadership, communication, work ethic, and teamwork. They have allowed me to excel in academics.
I am excited to attend a college and join a team that will challenge me, allow for a positive experience, and help me grow as a person and a player.
