Taylor Mileti '26 Recruiting Profile

I was raised by the quote “ It’s not about the destination, it’s about the journey”.  My journey has led me to where and who I am today. I play on the East Meadow Soccer Club ECNL 08 as a goalkeeper, and I was moved up to my varsity soccer team in 8th grade as the starting goalie as well as starting goalkeeper  again this past fall.  I played for ODP which led me to be chosen to represent the regional ODP east coast soccer team for my age group in Florida. 

Like most soccer players, I started out on the field playing at three years old, but unlike many children my age, I was raised by a varsity football coach.  I was on the sidelines of my dad’s games as far back as six months old.  He raised me to be an extremely  driven and intense person with a push-through-anything mentality. One thing that makes me different from the rest is my unique experiences  being raised by a coach who taught me mental and physical toughness. I learned  leadership skills at a very young age on the sidelines of my dads games. This has helped me be successful over the years not only on the field but also in the classroom. 

I hope someday to be a physical education teacher and a coach just like him. I have learned from my soccer coaches and my dad that even when we make mistakes, you have to keep pushing and working hard and to never give up.  I am a multi- sport athlete playing other sports such as basketball, lacrosse, and I am the quarterback for the first ever varsity girl flag football team in history at my high school. The one that has tested me mentally and physically which has helped me be the strong goalie that I am today  is playing little league tackle football with the boys  from 7 years old until I turned 12.  This  experience in my journey has helped me grow mentally and physically as an athlete and I believe helped me to be a strong goalkeeper with little fear.

All of these experiences throughout my journey have  not only made me who I am today, but I know are still shaping my future. I hope to be given the opportunity to continue my goalkeeper dreams on the next level one day.
