Stephanie Darrell '17 Recruiting Profile

My name is STEPHANIE DARRELL and I am a Junior at St. Anthony's High School.  I transferred from my public school (Commack HS) in order to pursue a more rigorous athletic and academic program.  I am so glad I did.

Although academics are most important, I love the game of soccer and hope to continue playing in college.  I am on the Varsity Soccer Team at St Anthony's. I also play lacrosse. I was on Varsity LAX at Commack HS as a freshman and I am currently on Varsity LAX at St Anthonys HS. (A Nationally Ranked High School Program.)

My Club Team ISA Sting 98 NPL, is a nationally competitive GU17 premier soccer team.  My primary position for our team is center back (#4).  Although recently, at a college ID clinic, I played mostly on the outside and really enjoyed it.  I feel that I am a natural leader on and off the field.  I work extremely well with other players and believe that mutual respect is the key to having a good team and enjoying the game. 

We won NY Cup (6/14/15) for the second consecutive year.  We just played in the National Cup XIV (7/17-7/20 at Grand Park, Westfield, IN.  We went 2-0-1 and lost in the semi's to a strong NEFC.

My team recently merged with HBC Impact.  This new team (ISA IMPACT 98) is coached by Billy Carroll. We just played at WAGS and I feel we did pretty well considering we really didn't have too much of an opportunity to practice and play together.
