I am a multiple sport athlete, and I cannot imagine my career without something to do with sports. I would like to do something either in the physical education field or sports therapy. I also would like to be a coach so I can take what I've learned and teach others.
My current club coach has been one of the biggest influences throughout my soccer career. He has been the best role model to help me understand what it takes to be a coach. I have learned the value of teamwork, commitment, work ethic, and leadership from him. I only hope that someday I can be as big of an influence on a young athlete as he has been on me.
I have a 3.9 GPA and rank in the top 19% of my class. I train with my DA team 4x a week and when I'm not on the field, I'm in my back yard training with ladders, cones, and a ball. On the off season my team trains 2x a week and I am enrolled in small group personal training sessions 1x a week. I also play varsity basketball during the winter. I have a lot of experience with time management and have figured out a system that I like to keep up with everything. That is why I feel that I will be prepared to balance my academics with soccer during my college career.
Soccer has grounded and focused me. I know that if I want to play in college I not only have to work hard at the sport but also at school. Soccer is the thing that pushes me to get good grades, study, and make good choices socially. I know that I would be an asset to any team. I believe I have the ability and drive to compete at the collegiate level. I think my work ethic and leadership skills will help make an immediate impact on any team!
