Soccer is a passionate sport and my passion for the game grows every year; starting from when I was 5 years old to next upcoming game. Soccer taught dedication, resilience, a strong work-ethic, and most importantly teamwork. If it were not for soccer, my personality and outlook on life would be completely different.
For the last 4 years, I’ve committed myself 100% as a starter on my club team, Eastern FC, demonstrating my versatility and strength both as a wing back and as a striker. My ability to immediately get back up and continue fighting was taught from being knocked down on the field for Eastern FC. I learned about the value of hard work and preparation every week on the training pitch. Recent team highlights include winning the NY Cup and EDP North Atlantic Spring (GU15 D1) last year, and taking back-to-back first place at RVSC Indoor Tournament and the DTS Winter Invitational this winter. Up next are tournaments at FC Delco (Downington, PA) and Mad Dog (Saratoga Springs, NY) in the coming months with Eastern FC.
At school, I was co-captain of the Mamaroneck High School JV team, I’ve learned valuable leadership skills about leading and motivating my teammates through my personal example. Another season highlight was the invitation to join the varsity team as the only sophomore player.
Pursuing both my soccer and academic career as a scholar-athlete is important to me, and I am on-track to achieve a 4.0 GPA by the end of this school year. Next year, I'm signing up for several AP and honors classes to keep pushing myself academically. Outside soccer and academics, I'm the treasurer for the MHS chess club, I run track, volunteer at local charities, and I love spending time with family and friends.
College level soccer is a journey I’d love to go down in pursuit of my passion and to learn new life skills. I believe I would be a strong candidate for collegiate soccer because of my mindset, strength, sense of community, and ability to learn.
Thank you for reading, and I'm look forward to hearing from you!
