Anessa Brito '19 Recruiting Profile

I want to take this opportunity to thank you for visiting my profile.   Following my older sisters footsteps, I began playing soccer when I was 7 years old.  I love soccer because it allows me to escape all my problems and work with my teammates to accomplish a common goal, win.  Throughout the years, I have joined several local clubs in addition to my school team to allow me the opportunity to improve as a player.  For the past two years, I have been a member of the STEER program.  As a member of STEER, I have dedicated myself to my academics and soccer.  Whenever I experience any difficulties with my academics, I advocate for myself and attend tutoring sessions to improve my academics.  During the summer season, I have participated in both academic and athletic programs.  Last summer I spent two weeks at Syracuse University learning the field of Forensics.  This summer, I will be attending a week long Nike soccer camp to continue to improve my soccer skill set and prepare myself for my senior year.  

In summary what separates me from others is that I’m a go getter.  I consistently set goals for myself to continue to evolve as an individual and always work hard to achieve them.  My reason for staying focused and motivated is my family and I will never let them down because they sacrificed so much for me.
