My name is Paige Buchholz, i am currently a senior at Greece Odyssey Academy. I'm a 5'3" 130 lb. goaltender. I have been a starter on the Varsity soccer team since my freshman year. In my freshman year we tied the sectional final game, but advanced to the next round in penalty kicks. I won defensive player of the sectional final that year. During my sophomore year i was awarded all county honorable mention and subway athlete of the week. As a junior the team made it to the state semi-finals. I set the school record for most shut outs in a season with 17. I was named first team all county, Rnews athlete of the week and was nominated for Greece Athlete of the Year. I feel that i have great leadership skils and a lot of dedication. I was named team Captain my junior year, and still continue to hold that role. As a captain i have put in a lot of time helping the younger kids, particularly the goaltenders. I often work with them in and out of practice to help them gain skills that will help them now and more importantly once they reach the varsity level. As far as dedicationn goes I am always the first person to the field and the last one to leave. On my days off or after practice i'm usually doing something soccer related; whether its watching other games, playing tennis soccer, or juggling. The main thing i look for in a college is setting. I prefer to go to a school in a rural setting, or even suburban. I'm not much of a city person. I also would prefer a school in a location where there is snow for part of the year. I'm a snowboarder, and winter is my favorite season. While in college I am looking to persue a major in landscaping, or something else science/ outdoors related. Realistically my goal is to find a college that suits me and to at least get playing time my freshman year and by my sophomore year be a starter.
