I really love being a part of a sports team for many reasons and I want that experience to continue into college. For me, being part of a team is motivating and pushes you to be better for your teammates, not just for yourself. My favorite part about playing soccer is that it teaches you a lot about discipline, passion, and hard work. As an outgoing and social person, one of the reasons I love being part of a team is that special bond you can share with your teammates and your coaches.
I take my academics very seriously and make sure to never let a busy soccer schedule compromise my studies. I am also very interested in the arts, especially photography and being a part of the tech crew for my school musicals. For the most recent spring musical I was promoted to backstage manager. At times I had to be demanding and, occasionally, tough when directing my fellow classmates. This was a new experience because on the soccer field I always try to be encouraging and supportive.
I pride myself on being coachable: I listen closely to my coaches and I work hard in practices to implement their instruction and improve my game. As a player, I like to pass the ball, advancing the ball and generate scoring changes for my team with timely and penetrating passes. While I am a versatile player, I believe the position where I can contribute the most is as attacking midfielder to leverage my field vision and passing abilities. I am willing to play any position if it means helping my team.
I am working hard on my recruiting so that I can find a school where I can accomplish my dream of playing soccer and getting a good education.
