Romi Schreiber '24 Recruiting Profile

Hi! As an athlete, I've learned how much I love to play the game. I have a VERY competitive spirit, and I'm always ready to take on a challenge. I think that's a good thing 😉 Teamwork is something that every team needs to succeed, and I bring that to every environment. One aspiration I have is to get the most I can out of my talent and take it the furthest I can. I am willing to put in the work to bring a team together and get the most out of my talent. (one final thing to say is I love a sense of humor 😁, bring some fun to the pitch together with an intense work ethic).

Especially after experiencing what it was like being on the U16 USA Maccabi team, I've learned what it is like to embrace your role and to always be prepared to come on and compete. In the final versus the Netherlands, I came on during the second half in a 0-0 game and immediately helped create two goals that were the difference in the game.

I have the same approach to being a student as I do to being an athlete. The same persistence, focus, and hard work. Yes, the homework is annoying, but it's all for a reason, to gain knowledge. I love participating in class, well, I'm very talkative, the same way I would be vocal on the field. I take my extrovert type personality to my advantage with self-advocacy and to develop relationships with my teachers. Life is good!!
