As I look forward to attending college, I am preparing myself to be challenged academically and athletically. I entered Kellenberg Memorial High School in the seventh grade, at the Latin School. Through ninth grade I was able to remain on the honor roll while at the same time became a starter on the junior varsity soccer team. My coaches and teachers have impressed upon me that improving my skills on the field go hand in hand with study habits. Hard work and commitment seems to be my approach when it comes to responsibilities.
In addition to varsity sports at Kellenberg, I have been involved with local and travel soccer teams since grammar school. My club team participates in several tournaments and college showcases on the East Coast. We compete at the Region 1 level and travel as far as Maryland, Virginia and Florida. The games take place on weekends and we are used to traveling Saturday and Sunday to compete.
Team sports and striving to achieve high grades have taught me a great deal about self-improvement. It seems that steady improvement puts you in a position to help yourself and others around you.
