Having the opportunity to be able to play varsity soccer as an 8th grader, gave me the ability to grow and prosper into the athlete I am today. Being the youngest on the team as well as not knowing anyone was definitely nerve racking, but thankfully my team members and people I now call best friends were extremely welcoming. My coach, as well as my teammates, has made me more confident as an athlete as well as a person. Now as a Sophomore I go out onto the field ready to win as well as have fun. Stepping onto the soccer field isn't just about wining; I step onto that field with the intentions to make my coach and teammates proud. It's important to not just play for yourself, but for your team. Not only has the school team made me more confident, the travel team I play with has allowed me to play a more competitive type of soccer. School and travel soccer have made me the determined player I am today.
I was able to be a part of programs that have achieved amazing goals and I would like to be a part of new ones whereas a team we can accomplish new goals. Trying to improve myself as a player is a huge determination of mine. When I am not in school season, I take part in foot skill training twice a week as well as participating in weight training throughout the week. Trying to improve my skills and staying healthy is an athletic goal but I also have academic goals I would like to achieve. I am interested in a program where I can continue to prosper in the academic field and the athletic field. It is important to me to receive the right education so I can create a life for myself. I am looking to pursue Anesthesiology. Just like on the soccer field being in the Operating Room (OR) is something that requires a team and I would like to continue being part of a team where we can accomplish many achievements.
