Leah Dourmashkin '23 Recruiting Profile

I have been playing soccer since I was four years old. I am left-handed, so naturally I am left-foot dominant. I started out on recreational teams, then moved to playing on club teams for eight years now. I have been captain of my club team for the past four years, playing as a center back. In the past few years, I transitioned into a offensive wing player, using my prior knowledge as a defender to my advantage. Now in high school, I am a starter on the varsity soccer team and have been since freshman year. I am looking to play soccer at a highly-selective academic college and plan on majoring in biochemistry. For the week ending April 4, 2021, I was awarded the United Soccer Coaches/MaxPreps High School State Girl Player of the Week for New York State. All semesters and years of elementary, middle, and high school, I have received Principal’s List.
