From the moment I stepped into the PTFC academy at just five years old, my love for soccer has only grown stronger. Competing for CCFC (formally known as PTFC) club has been an incredible journey, especially being part of the Elite-level team since U10. When we began our U11 season with goalie rotations, something wonderful happened: I discovered my passion for being in the goal! There's nothing quite like that exhilarating feeling after making a great save.
In the spring of 2020, I embraced this passion even further by starting private lessons with my dedicated goalie coach. For the past five years, we’ve met weekly, and I wholeheartedly welcome constructive feedback. My commitment to improvement is unwavering, and I constantly seek opportunities to enhance my skills.
In the Fall of 2024 I join the NC ODP program. This opportunity has allowed me to learn from the ODP staff, learn to adapt to a new team, and compete at a higher level.
As I look forward to my collegiate journey, my dream is to balance high-level soccer with a top-notch education. I had an inspiring experience this past year when I watched my idol transition from collegiate soccer to the NWSL. It fueled my ambition to reach that level while ensuring that I prioritize my academics along the way.
Leadership is something I genuinely value, and I strive to embody a positive mindset, hard work, and self-discipline in every team I join. Being a goalkeeper has enriched my understanding of player formations, spacing, and body positioning. The mental aspect of the position can be challenging, but it has taught me resilience. Analyzing game footage allows me to reflect, learn from each situation, and recover mentally, which is crucial during matches.
Academics have always been my top priority. I’ve consistently achieved straight A’s throughout elementary and middle school, and I’m currently excelling in all my high school honors and general courses with a 3.56 GPA, attending an all-honors institution. My journey will include rigorous honors courses, and I’m excited about the AP classes I’ll be able to take in my sophomore year. Additionally, the option to enroll in college-level classes during my junior year is an opportunity I intend to seize!
My dedication, hard work, leadership qualities, and strong academic standing make me a unique candidate. I'm an aggressive goalkeeper who isn’t afraid to dive for a block, take risks for my team, or acknowledge areas where I can improve. Striving to be the best version of myself on and off the field drives my passion, and I am truly excited about the future ahead!
