Hello my name is Taylor Green from Nova Scotia, Canada. I was first invited into the National Training Centre at age 14 and more recently I have been invited into the Canadian Regional acceleration program (REX). The REX program is a high performance training environment created by the Canadian Soccer Association's women's national team program providing Canada's most promising young players with a clear and continuous pathway of development. This program provides me with top level training under the management of national team coaches and follows the curriculum constructed to achieve consistent podium performances by our women's national team, a talent structure that progresses more top players and a clear talent pathway to the national team. I have also played on the U-13, U-14, U-15, and the U-16 Nova Scotia Provincial Soccer Teams. My goal is to attend an NCAA Division I college/university to pursue my dream of playing competitive soccer and earning a degree in Medicine. In addition to the above I continue to play club soccer and am a starting center attacking mid-fielder with a U-16 Tier 1 Suburban FC team. I am a junior at Halifax West High School and will be part of the graduating class in 2017.
I am known as a leader on and off the field. I have an exceptional understanding of the game and see the field well. I have had the privilege of assuming the role of captain on many of the teams in which I played. I train hard and play hard. I demonstrate my leadership abilities through my determination, tenacity, and my willingness to dig deep.
