For the majority of my life since I was just a little girl, soccer was the only thing that I could see myself doing in life. The game no matter what, will always be a part of me and I will forever be a part of the game.
Then I tore my ACL at the tender age of 11. After that my life has been quite literally a roller-coaster. Getting back on my feet and cleared to play, only to find myself in a doctor’s office again and having to repeat the recovery process. Having been told that I would never play again to being told that I would only have to take the year off. To re-tearing my ACL and going through the slow process of recovery, finally getting to play again only to get knocked down on my butt yet again within the same year as I came close to dying from a chronic illness unknown to me at the time. Part of me wishes that I would have never had to go through these experiences, but even with all the pain I have gone through, it has made me into a better and stronger person that will be able to take on the world and whatever it has to throw at me.
