Hello, my name is Penelope Nelson. I'm in Junior Council of World Affairs (JCOWA), Student Development Council, Eagle Ambassadors and a multisport athlete. I love soccer. Ever since I was young I knew it was my true passion. My dad was my coach when I was little and I always loved practices and games knowing my dad was by my side (even when he was harder on me because I was his daughter). I decided to be a goalkeeper because I knew I wanted to be the one that held the game in my hands, literally. My dad and my big sister were also goalkeepers, so having role models was easy.
Looking towards the future, moving from high school to college level competition, I'm hoping to grow as a player not only physically and skill set wise, but also maturity and relationships. The relationships I see on tv and read about that come from college teams and on to the US Women's National team seem to last a lifetime and I want to experience those life changing moments. I believe I have a multitude of strengthsand skills I can bring to a college progam. I am dedicated and driven. I'm a hard worker and I dont give up. I don't believe in leaving things unfinished. I am an aggressive player with high expectations for myself and those around me. I will not only meet the standards of your team, but exceed them.
